18 individuals from this category were provided with a synthesizer, drum, saz, and guitar, according to their preferences within the framework of the project.
The "Social Notes" project, which is being implemented by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population to support the employment of people with visual impairments, provided active support to the participants.
At the event held at the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, Sadig Aliyev, the Chairman of the Board of the Agency, stated that the measures in the areas of social security, rehabilitation, and integration of people with disabilities into society have been strengthened year by year.
He emphasized that in the implementation of employment programs, priority is given to individuals from this category, and special projects are carried out specifically for them.
It was noted that in the first 10 months of this year, among those employed by the Agency, nearly 9500 were people with disabilities. Additionally, about 1300 individuals were provided with small businesses through the self-employment program. During the same period, 421 people with disabilities were involved in vocational training.
It was highlighted that the "Social Notes" project also aims to support people with visual impairments in establishing their own businesses through the self-employment program.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), project participants, and other guests highly appreciated the support measures directed towards people with disabilities, the inclusion of these individuals in the self-employment program, and the efforts to develop their creative potential.
During the event, 18 people with visual impairments were provided with synthesizers, drums, saz, and guitars, according to their preferences, as part of the project.
