The UK-based “Apolitical” platform has published an article on the achievements Azerbaijan has made in recent years in the digitalization of public social services.
The article notes that through digital platforms, Azerbaijan has modernized its social services infrastructure, making services more transparent, efficient, accessible, and citizen-oriented. It highlights the existing legal and institutional framework in the country for the digitalization of social services, as well as the measures taken to simplify citizens’ access to social protection mechanisms.
The benefits of the “E-social” portal are emphasized, noting that more than 90% of the services of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population were digitalized between 2018–2025. The article also refers to proactive services launched in early 2019 and underlines their significance. It is highlighted that the Ministry’s Centralized Electronic Information System operates through integration with the information systems of more than 80 state institutions.
The article also notes that Azerbaijan’s digital achievements in the social sector have been recognized internationally and awarded special prizes as best practices, serving as advanced experiences that can be studied and adopted by other countries.
