Active employment programmes in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories are continuously being expanded. Alongside providing employment opportunities for residents who have returned to their native lands, systematic efforts are also being carried out to support them in establishing small businesses and acquiring new professions in line with the requirements of the labour market.

This was stated during another meeting held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population with employers operating in the liberated territories.

Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev provided information on the active employment programmes being implemented in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur and emphasised the importance of close cooperation with employers in implementing these programmes.

Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Science and Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defence, State Committee for Refugee and IDP Affairs, State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, Azerbaijan Transport and Communications Holding, State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, İ Medical Territorial Units Management Union and Mine Action Agency also participated in the meeting.

The meeting discussed the work carried out to ensure the employment of residents relocated to the liberated territories, as well as joint measures to be implemented in this area. 

Employers were also informed about the incentives and benefits provided to them for the purpose of attracting qualified specialists to the liberated territories.
