At the Mardakan Rehabilitation Boarding House of the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, another meeting was held with a group of persons with disabilities related to war.
Deputy Chairman of the Agency’s Management Board, Vugar Mammadov, emphasized the ongoing measures aimed at improving the quality of life, rehabilitation, and social integration of persons with war-related disabilities. He noted that the modern facilities, individualized approaches, and psychosocial support programmes available in rehabilitation centres contribute to these citizens’ faster recovery and reintegration.
It was highlighted that following the Patriotic War, which concluded with a great Victory, the Agency’s rehabilitation centres have been actively providing medical, social, and psychological rehabilitation services to persons with war-related disabilities. Thanks to the efforts of professional medical teams and the use of modern and effective rehabilitation methods, 238 individuals have successfully regained their health and no longer require disability status.
Deputy Head of the Partnerships Department at the State Employment Agency, Vugar Imanov, stated that special programmes are being implemented to facilitate the integration of persons with war-related disabilities into the labour market. He provided information on initiatives aimed at their employment, enhancement of professional skills, and engagement in small business activities.
War participants expressed their appreciation for the advanced rehabilitation system established in the country, as well as for the provision of rehabilitation services and devices, particularly the supply of next-generation prosthetics and employment support measures.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views, during which opinions and suggestions were shared on strengthening social protection, improving quality of life, and enhancing the social rehabilitation of persons with war-related disabilities.
