Ahead of September 20 – State Sovereignty Day, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population provided another 36 apartments to families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities. The apartments are located in the MIDA Hovsan Residential Complex.

An event to present the apartment documents was held at DOST Center No. 4. Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev highlighted that families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities are covered by comprehensive social support measures provided by the state.

It was noted that providing these individuals with housing is an important area of these measures. Following the historic Victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the programme for providing housing to families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities has been expanded fivefold.

More than 7,300 apartments have been provided to them during the post-war period, and more than 16,000 apartments have been provided in total to date.

It was also noted that during this period, the average amount of allowances and pensions provided to families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities has increased by more than twofold. At the same time, consistent work has been carried out to address the employment issues of citizens belonging to these categories and ensure their access to rehabilitation services.

The families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities who were provided with new apartments expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high level of attention and care shown to them, as well as for providing them with new homes.
