This year, the State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population delivered rehabilitation equipment directly to the homes of another 200 persons with disabilities.
They were provided with a total of nearly 7,600 rehabilitation devices, including powered wheelchairs, wheelchairs for indoor and outdoor use, sanitary-equipped wheelchairs, canes, elbow and underarm crutches, static verticalizers, four-legged support devices, and others.
It should be noted that rehabilitation equipment is delivered directly to the homes of persons with disabilities who are unable, either personally or through relatives, to travel to Baku and visit the Agency’s Prosthetic-Orthopaedic Production and Rehabilitation Centre to obtain the equipment they need.
