The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has provided an additional 115 apartments to martyrs’ families and persons with disabilities related to the war.
The apartments were allocated from newly constructed residential buildings in the cities of Baku and Naftalan, as well as in the districts of Absheron, Sabirabad, Oghuz, Gakh, Lankaran, Astara, Zardab, Aghjabadi, Goychay, Aghdash, Gazakh, Yevlakh, and Kurdamir.
At the event held at DOST Center No. 4 in Baku for the presentation of apartment documents, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Hidayat Abdullayev highlighted the social protection measures implemented for citizens belonging to vulnerable population groups.
It was noted that as a result of the special attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev toward martyrs’ families and persons with disabilities related to the war, significant steps are being taken to strengthen the social protection of these categories. Following the Patriotic War, which resulted in a great Victory, the housing provision program for martyrs’ families and persons with disabilities related to the war has been expanded fivefold by the instruction of the Head of State.
In the post-war period, more than 7 thousand apartments and houses have been provided to these categories of citizens, and overall nearly 16 thousand apartments and individual houses have been allocated over the years. At the same time, allowances and scholarships for martyrs’ families and persons with disabilities related to the war have been increased on average by more than two times during this period.
Members of martyrs’ families and persons with disabilities related to the war who received new apartments expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the special attention and care shown to them and for being provided with new housing on the eve of the holiday.
