The Order will cover nearly 2,000 individuals in total.
The new Order of President Ilham Aliyev titled “On providing one-time financial assistance to persons who participated in World War II in 1941–1945, widows of soldiers who were killed or later deceased, and persons awarded orders and medals for their dedicated work in the rear” reflects continued high-level attention and care for these categories of citizens.
According to the Order, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in World War II, participants of the war will receive a one-time payment of 2,750 manats.
Widows of deceased soldiers, persons awarded for their work in the rear, individuals who carried out assignments in the interests of the army and navy within operational zones, persons awarded medals for the defence of Leningrad, and participants of the Leningrad blockade will receive 1,500 manats.
It is expected that nearly 2,000 people will benefit from the Order, including 13 World War II participants.
A total of 3 million manats has been allocated from the President’s Reserve Fund in the 2026 state budget to finance these payments.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population will transfer the payments to the bank accounts of eligible individuals.
