Within the framework of cooperation between the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, a social-psychological office has commenced operation at the penitentiary institution for juveniles.
The purpose of the office is to assess the psychological condition of juvenile inmates, develop their social adaptation skills, support their reintegration into society, and provide proper guidance in life planning.
Meetings have already been held with a group of inmates serving sentences at the institution, initial social-psychological assessments have been conducted, and the preparation of individual work plans has begun.
Earlier, within the framework of this cooperation, a social-psychological office was also established at Correctional Institution No. 16. During the past period, specialists of the Social Services Agency have conducted assessments of nearly 130 individuals through these offices.
