A meeting took place at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with the International Monetary Fund delegation to Azerbaijan.

At the meeting with the mission led by Anna Bordon, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev provided information on the achievements of social reforms carried out in our country in recent years. As an important component of these reforms, it was noted that a sustainable growth dynamics in pensions has been achieved, and steps taken to improve the insurance and pension system in accordance with advanced world experience have been brought to attention.

It was noted that pension capitals registered in individual accounts have also been increased since the beginning of each year, and a digital infrastructure of services in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection has been established in recent years. It was noted that currently, mechanisms for the proactive assignment of social payments, including pensions, are operating in our country.

The implementation of humane approaches to the pension system and measures taken to increase accessibility to this system were also discussed. Development trends in the labor market and positive results in broadening the scope of the social insurance system were brought to attention.

The meeting discussed future cooperation on the exchange of information regarding the development of the pension system and the updating of forecasts in this area.
