A meeting took place at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with a delegation headed by Roland Price, Regional Director of the World Bank for the South Caucasus.

Anar Aliyev, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, highlighted the significance of the projects executed in collaboration with the World Bank in labor and social protection recently. He remarked that the "Employment Support Project," carried out by the Ministry with funding from the World Bank, is a crucial aid for the growth of the self-employment initiative.

The successful implementation of this Project, which is of particular importance in providing vulnerable groups with access to small business opportunities, was discussed. The importance of cooperation in improving the disability assessment system and labor legislation was emphasized.

The achievements of social reforms implemented in our nation in recent years and the benefits of the DOST Concept were acknowledged. Details were shared regarding the extensive use of digital solutions in the social sector, ongoing active employment initiatives, and changes made in the mandatory health insurance system.

Roland Price expressed his favorable opinion regarding the collaborative efforts made recently and the execution of the "Employment Support Project". The meeting addressed the potential for upcoming collaboration in labor and social protection.
