In cooperation between the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, an event was organized at Penitentiary Facility No. 4 in celebration of International Women's Day on March 8.
As part of the event, 21 children living in orphanages under the Social Services Agency met with their mothers, who are incarcerated.
At first, the children congratulated their mothers on the holiday by performing poems and dance routines.
Then, a master class on painting eco-bags was held for the mothers and their children. The children gifted the bags they had made to their mothers.
Various fun games prepared by animators added color to the meeting and made it a memorable experience.
The purpose of the event was to provide imprisoned women with more time to spend with their family members, to support their and their children's social rehabilitation, and to prevent any potential recidivist crimes they might commit.
