A meeting with employers operating in the Eastern Zangazur economic region was organized jointly by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Lachin and the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided about the Agency’s areas of activity, employment programs, and support mechanisms offered to entrepreneurs. Efforts undertaken jointly with employers to ensure employment for residents relocated to the territories liberated from occupation were also discussed.
It was noted that, alongside ensuring employment for residents, support continues for establishing small household businesses under the self-employment program. Additionally, work is being carried out to enroll residents in vocational training courses aligned with labor market requirements, which enhances their access to employment opportunities.
The role of the Agency’s “Co-Financing of Employees’ Salaries with Employers” program in facilitating residents’ employment was also highlighted.
The meeting further discussed actions to be taken jointly with employers to ensure employment for citizens returning to their native lands. Participants’ questions were addressed, and their proposals were considered.
