One of the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development” approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev — the National Priority of “A dynamic, inclusive, and socially just society” — forms the core of the ongoing consistent social reforms.
This was stated by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, Anar Aliyev, Head of the Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection, at the next meeting of the Sub-Working Group established for the preparation of the “Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027–2030.”
He highlighted the progress achieved in strengthening the social protection system as a result of social reforms implemented under the President’s instructions in recent years, as well as the significant increases in wages, pensions, and other social payments. He also underlined the expansion of programmes covering vulnerable population groups with social support, active employment measures, and significant steps taken toward developing an inclusive society, social services, and rehabilitation systems.
It was noted that continuing reforms in these areas will remain among the key targets of the 2027–2030 Socio-Economic Development Strategy.
During the meeting, the works carried out by the Sub-Working Group on Inclusive Social Development and Social Protection for the preparation of the new Strategy were presented. The draft Action Plan for the new Strategy was introduced, and discussions were held on the draft and submitted proposals.
