DOST and digital employment practices of Romania and Azerbaijan implies its application
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population had a meeting with the delegation led by Florin-Irinel Cotoshman, the president of the National Agency for Employment of Romania, who was on a visit to our country.
Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev informed about the active employment programs implemented in our country and the reforms carried out in the field of employment. The work done in the direction of expanding active employment programs and supporting the access to small business of persons belonging to socially vulnerable groups of the population within the framework of the self-employment program was brought to attention in Azerbaijan. Organized vocational training for unemployed and jobseekers to acquire skills in the professions required in the labor market.
Florin-Irinel Cotoshman spoke about the activities of the institution he represents. He said that they attach special importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of employment, especially to benefit from Azerbaijan's experience in the direction of digitalization. The head of the institution also noted that it is planned to apply Azerbaijan's DOST experience in Romania.
The significance of the Action Plan, which was signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Solidarity of Romania and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan in November of last year, defining the directions of cooperation for 2023-2024, was discussed at the meeting. İt was brought to attention that the exchange of knowledge and best practices in various fields, and bilateral consultations were conducted in accordance with the document.
The Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry, Mustafa Abbasbeyli, and the President of the National Employment Agency of Romania, Florin-Irinel Cotoshman, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two institutions, after the meeting.
The memorandum envisages modernization of employment services using digitization and development of new online mechanisms, expansion of employment opportunities for people from socially vulnerable population groups, analysis of the labor market, vocational training, career planning and other areas of future cooperation.
