7-month social indicators
A total of 23,000 applications were submitted to the “Volunteer DOST” programme during January-July this year, and 881 persons were accepted into the programme.
The programme, which plays an important role in expanding the volunteer movement in Azerbaijan, operates through sub-programmes such as “Young DOST”, “Silver DOST” (for older persons), “Remote DOST”, “Corporate DOST”, “Inclusive DOST”, “DigiDOST” and “TeleDOST”.
Volunteers assist citizens at DOST centres by welcoming them, directing them to service windows, managing citizen flows and queues, providing information, assisting with the use of e-systems and performing other tasks.
They contribute to the provision of public social services through a “one-stop shop” based on the principle of citizen satisfaction.
The programme supports participants in gaining experience and professional skills in the field of citizen services, as well as in their personal development and taking their first successful steps towards building a career.
