The implementation and regulation of state policy in the field of adoption has been carried out by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population since November 2019.
During this period, 856 children have been adopted through the Social Services Agency under the Ministry. Of these, 432 are boys and 424 are girls.
To monitor the well-being of adopted children, assessments are conducted quarterly during the first year after adoption and annually in subsequent years until the child reaches 18 years of age.
As a result of reintegration measures implemented by the Agency, which began operations in mid-2020, 864 children — 471 boys and 393 girls — have been returned from state child institutions to their families.
In addition, the placement of 889 children in institutions by their families has been prevented, ensuring that these children remain with their families.
