The implementation and regulation of state policy in the field of adoption has been carried out by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population since November 2019.
During the reporting period, 836 children were adopted through the Social Services Agency under the Ministry. Of them, 422 were boys and 414 were girls.
In order to monitor the conditions of children placed for adoption, assessments are conducted quarterly during the first year of adoption and once a year in subsequent years until the child reaches the age of 18.
As a result of reintegration measures implemented by the Agency, which began operating in mid-2020, a total of 854 children — including 467 boys and 387 girls — were returned to their families from state child institutions during the reporting period. In addition, the placement of 856 children into institutions by their families was prevented, and their care within their own families was ensured.
