Social indicators for the 10-month period
State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population provided 82800 rehabilitation tools to people with disabilities in January-October of this year.
Among these aids, 4,6 thousand were wheelchairs (including 153 motorized wheelchairs), 1,7 thousand were lower and upper limb prostheses, 2 thousand were hearing aids, 2,3 thousand were armrests and elbow crutches, and 149 were corsets.
Those people received 2,9 thousand pairs of prosthetic shoes, 5,4 thousand pairs of orthopedic shoes and other rehabilitation aids.
During the 10-month period of this year, a total of 10300 people with disabilities were provided with rehabilitation tools.
