Social indicators of 8 months
The State Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population provided 71,000 rehabilitation tools to people with disabilities in January-August of this year.
Of them, 4.6 were wheelchairs (including 150 motorized wheelchairs), 1,599 lower and upper limb prostheses, 1,663 hearing aids, and 1,855 arm and elbow braces.
Also, 2,455 pairs of prostheses, 4,175 orthopedic shoes, 92 corsets and other rehabilitation tools were presented to the disabled.
During 8 months of this year, a total of 9.1 thousand people with disabilities were provided with rehabilitation tools.
