Over the past period, more than 4.4 million citizens have benefited from DOST services, and the citizen satisfaction rate with these services stands at 98.8 percent.
Today marks the 7th anniversary of the launch of DOST services, which ensure citizen satisfaction. On May 9, 2019, the opening ceremony of the DOST Agency and the Baku DOST Centre No. 1 under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population was held with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
The DOST model, initiated by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, is one of the major achievements of the social reforms carried out in the country in recent years. It ensures the delivery of 162 social services across 14 areas through a “one-stop-shop” system based on modern, flexible, fully transparent mechanisms and citizen satisfaction principles.
To date, 7 DOST Centres, 2 DOST branches, and 3 DOST points have been commissioned. Currently, project, renovation, and construction works are underway for the establishment of DOST centres in Nakhchivan, Guba, Sabirabad, Sumgayit, Ganja, and Masalli, as well as DOST branches in several other regions. It is planned to cover the entire country with the DOST network by 2030.
The activities of the DOST Agency are also highly appreciated internationally. During the past period, the Agency has received more than 60 international awards, including over 10 “Good Practice Awards for Europe”.
The “Volunteer DOST” programme, which plays an important role in expanding the volunteer movement, has involved nearly 8 thousand volunteers during the past period. In addition to contributing to the delivery of state social services based on citizen satisfaction principles, they have also gained experience, skills, and professional habits in the field of public service.
