Today marks 6 years since the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population began its activities. The Social Services Agency, whose Charter was approved by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 30, 2020, provides vulnerable groups of the population with the social services they need in support of them.
The Agency provides social services to citizens belonging to various social groups in stationary, semi-stationary and mobile forms through branches and social service institutions covering all regions of the country.
Over the past 6 years, the agency has provided more than 600 thousand services (social services at home, provision of housing and cars, sanatorium-resort referrals, adoption, foster family, repatriation, etc.) to people from vulnerable population groups. During the mentioned period, about 20 thousand people were covered by social services at their homes, and more than 8 thousand people were covered by social services at the Agency's institutions.
In addition, about 40 thousand people benefited from various social services in day care, social rehabilitation and assistance centers for victims of domestic violence operating within the framework of projects implemented by the Agency.
In 158 day care centers and more than 130 social rehabilitation centers established in the regions, consistent work was carried out to support the cognitive, emotional and physical development of up to 18 thousand children belonging to vulnerable categories, as well as to form primary reading and writing skills.
Over the past years, the Agency's activities have also been highly appreciated at the international level. The institution has been awarded various international awards and has obtained ISO certificates in three areas. At the same time, a number of digital solutions and mobile applications developed by the Agency have been awarded national awards.
