According to the action plan of the Technical Committee on Standardization in the "Labor Field" (AZSTAND/TK21), which operates under the chairmanship of the State Labour Inspectorate under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, 57 national standards in the labour field were developed and approved as state standards by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute.
These standards, prepared in compliance with the requirements of the International Labour Organization’s "Convention No. 155 on Occupational Safety and Health," cover:
The implementation of these new standards in workplaces is crucial for organizing labour conditions according to modern requirements, improving occupational safety regulations, and aligning them with international best practices.
The work on developing labour standards continues with the participation of the State Labour Inspectorate of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation.
