Under a law adopted five years ago, if a person is re-assessed with a disability within 6 months after the expiration of their disability status, the disability is formalised retroactively from the date the previous disability period ended.
Social payments related to disability are also provided for this interim period. During the reported period, 56.3 thousand persons were covered by these payments.
In total, AZN 34 million was paid to them for the period from the expiration of the previous disability status until the re-assessment date.
