Following the Patriotic War, which ended with a historic Victory under the leadership of President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, a large-scale social support package for members of martyr families and war participants has been implemented based on the President’s instructions.
Within this social support package, during the post-war period, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population provided the following support:
120 thousand services related to social payment assignments were delivered to 106 thousand persons from martyr families and war veterans, and 25.4 thousand persons received one-time payments.
The housing provision programme for martyr families and persons with war-related disabilities was expanded five times, resulting in the provision of 7,200 apartments and private houses, as well as 567 vehicles to persons with war-related disabilities.
96 thousand social-psychological support and rehabilitation services were provided to 11 thousand persons from martyr families and war participants.
2,397 persons with war-related disabilities were provided with 88 thousand rehabilitation devices, including 619 high-tech modern prostheses for more than 500 persons.
Employment was ensured for 29 thousand persons from martyr families and war participants, including 13.5 thousand persons involved in the self-employment programme.
Overall, this social support package covered 132 thousand persons, with 403 thousand support-oriented services delivered.
