Under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, after the great victory of the Azerbaijani Army in the 44-day Patriotic War, a large-scale social support package for martyrs' families and war participants, based on the president's instructions, continues to be successfully implemented.
As part of this social support package, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has carried out the following during the post-war period:
• 119000 monthly social payments have been assigned to 106000 individuals who are martyrs' family members and war veterans, and 24400 people have been granted one-time payments;
• The housing program for martyrs' families and people with disabilities related to the war has been expanded five times, with 6800 apartments and individual houses provided to them, and 567 cars given to people with disabilities related to the war;
• 70000 social-psychological support and rehabilitation services have been provided to 11000 martyrs' family members and war participants;
• 62900 rehabilitation tools, including 607 high-tech modern prostheses, have been provided to 2263 individuals with disabilities due to the war;
• 25300 people from martyrs' families and war participants have been employed, with 12200 individuals engaged in the self-employment program.
In total, during the post-war period, this social support package has covered 130000 people, providing them with 369000 services aimed at support.
