Following the 44-day Patriotic War, in which the Azerbaijan Army won a great victory under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the implementation of a large-scale social support package for the members of the families of martyrs and war participants is being successfully continued.
Within the framework of that social support package by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in the post-war period:
• 119,000 monthly social payments were given to 106,000 family members of war veterans and martyrs, and 24,000 received a one-time payment;
• the housing program for the families of martyrs, persons with war-related disabilities was expanded 5 times, 6,200 apartments and private houses were provided to them, and 528 cars were provided to persons with war-related disabilities;
• 11,000 people who belonged to the families of martyrs and those who had fought in the war received 67,000 social psychological assistance and rehabilitation services;
• 60,000 rehabilitation tools, including 594 high-tech modern prostheses for 488 people, were given to 2,204 people with disabilities resulting from conflict;
• 23,200 people, members of families of martyrs and participants in the war, were provided with employment, including 11,200 people involved in the self-employment program.
Generally, 358 thousand support-oriented services were given to 130 thousand people who were covered by the aforementioned social assistance package throughout the post-war era.
