The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population has provided another 35 apartments to families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities in the city of Shirvan.
Speaking at the apartment handover ceremony held in the MIDA residential complex in Shirvan, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry, Fuad Musayev, stated that the housing provision programme for these categories was initiated in the 1990s under the instructions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and has been successfully continued and expanded over the years. Following the historic Victory of the Azerbaijan Army in the Patriotic War under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the programme has been expanded fivefold upon the President’s instruction.
It was noted that in the post-war period, nearly 7,300 apartments have been provided to citizens in these categories, and more than 16 thousand apartments and individual houses have been allocated overall in previous years. Additionally, during this period, the amounts of benefits and allowances designated for families of martyrs and persons with war-related disabilities have increased on average by more than two times.
The beneficiaries of the new apartments expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and care shown to them, particularly for being provided with new housing on the eve of the Novruz and Ramadan holidays.
