Under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, 289 children currently live under permanent state care in social service institutions No. 1 and No. 2 of the Social Services Agency for individuals with disabilities under the age of 18.
Among them, 200 are boys and 89 are girls. In addition, 35 children benefit from the semi-stationary services provided by the institutions.
In both institutions, stationary and semi-stationary (daytime) services are provided to children aged 5–18 with disabilities who are not involved in formal education, in order to organize their social rehabilitation according to various forms and types of social services. These services aim to support the children’s social rehabilitation, development of daily life skills, and integration into society.
Residents are provided with food, clothing, and necessary medical services on a permanent basis. The children participate in services according to an established schedule and individual work plan, and their habilitation and rehabilitation are carried out.
Taking into account the children’s age and health condition, activities are also conducted to help them acquire basic knowledge and vocational skills, as well as to support their physical development.
