Social indicators for 11 months

In January–November of this year, the Medical-Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population provided 118 thousand rehabilitation aids to persons with disabilities.

These included 6.2 thousand wheelchairs (including 179 powered wheelchairs), 2.3 thousand lower and upper limb prostheses, and 6 thousand canes, crutches and elbow crutches.

In addition, persons with disabilities were provided with 9.8 thousand pairs and half-pairs of prosthetic and orthopaedic footwear, 347 hearing aids, 505 corsets, and other rehabilitation aids.

During the 11 months of the current year, 13 thousand persons with disabilities were supplied with rehabilitation aids.
