The State Labour Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population continues to implement consistent awareness-raising activities on occupational safety in workplaces located in the liberated territories.
Over the past three years, the Service, in cooperation with the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency, the Confederation of Trade Unions, the National Confederation of Employers’ Organisations, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the State Employment Agency, and the Eurasia Press Fund, has organised 115 awareness events in these areas.
These events have covered 9 thousand 700 participants, including both employees and employers. Participants were provided with detailed information on occupational safety, workplace certification, labour legislation requirements for safe and healthy working conditions, and mine safety rules.
Information was also shared on newly approved occupational safety standards and their implementation procedures.
Participants were provided with educational materials, including manuals and brochures, and their questions were answered.
The awareness-raising process also included contributions from partner organisations based on their respective areas of activity.
Regular awareness activities on occupational safety in enterprises operating in the liberated territories are planned to continue throughout the year.
