The Technical Committee on standardization in the labour sector (AZSTAND/TK21), chaired by the State Labour Inspectorate Service under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, continues work on the development of state standards related to occupational safety.
Over the past year, an additional 110 state standards have been developed and approved as state standards by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute.
These standards have been prepared in line with the requirements of the International Labour Organization’s Convention No. 155 on Occupational Safety and Health.
They serve to ensure healthy working conditions in workplaces, organize labour conditions in accordance with modern requirements, improve occupational safety rules, and align them with international practice.
As a result, the total number of state standards on occupational safety developed and approved by the Committee has reached 167.
